An accurate understanding of the surroundings of the vehicle is at the heart of automated driving applications, detecting and providing 3D properties of static and dynamic objects surrounding the vehicle is one of the fundamental building blocks in delivering a safe and reliable automated driving experience. 

Job Summary  

• Integration of self-driving software into different embedded systems running either QNX or Linux. 
• Build and customize vendor Board Support Package (BSP) for the self-driving stack, vehicle system and test infrastructure. 
• Build custom embedded Linux with Yocto project. 
• Port self-driving software to new platforms 
• Integrate / adapt ADAS sensors (camera, radar, lidar, GPS, etc.) and communication interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, UART, etc.) to the platform-specific OS / HW. 
• Support aiDrive teams in platform-specific development activities.   

Key Requirements  

• Experience in developing SW for embedded OS (QNX or Linux) 
• Knowledge of embedded system architectures 
• Knowledge of embedded build systems (Make, CMake, Yocto) 
• Strong C++ (or C) programming skills 
• Experience in software development tools (Git, GitHub/GitLab, Docker, GDB) 
• Hands on experience with sensors and communication interfaces 
• 3+ years of experience in the field  
• Ability to cooperate and work efficiently in a team 
• Critical/systematic thinking, problem solving mindset, precision 
• Good verbal and written command of English 

Considered as a plus  

• Experience with QNX, in-depth knowledge of its system architecture 
• Experience with Linux kernel / driver development 
• Experience with microcontrollers 
• Hands on experience in performance profiling and optimization 
• Experience in developing safety critical or real-time systems 
• Experience in working with international teams
