aiWare is an NPU (Neural Processing Unit) developed by engineers working in close cooperation with our automated driving teams to create a flexible and integrated solution.  

With processors (CPUs, GPUs, NPUs) getting more complex, development efforts become more and more software-heavy. Creating efficient hardware requires building a sophisticated compiler, profiling the hardware, and optimizing it to the needs of the workloads that will be run on it.  

You will have the opportunity to get a glimpse inside the workings of specialized hardware and the software surrounding it.  

Our team is currently responsible for 3 main projects: 

• Compiler development for custom NPU 
• Performance estimator for runtime execution of different Neural Network workloads 
• GPU-accelerated, bit-accurate, high-performance arithmetic simulator of the aiWare NPU 

Job Summary  

• Develop neural network compiler for custom NN accelerator hardware in C/C++ environment 
• Improve performance and find creative ways to make different Neural Network workloads more efficient 
• Proactively explore new solutions and ideas for our projects, and share it with the team 

Key Qualification  

• Ongoing (active/passive) full-time university studies for at least one more year (preferably master’s studies) 
• Advanced knowledge of C++  
• Basic knowledge of Python for scripting and test development 
• Availability of at least 20 working hours per week   
• Intermediate level English knowledge  
• Precise, reliable, quality focused attitude  
• Independent and proactive attitude 
• Social competency, flexibility and ability to work in a team  

Considered as a plus  

• Artificial neural network experience  
• Basic parallelization skills (threads, mutex, etc.)  
• Working knowledge of Git, CMake, Bash, Jenkins  
• Experience in developing performance critical software  
• Experience in CUDA
