Visual Designer
We’re seeking a Visual Designer to strengthen the visual quality of our developer tools, automotive screens, and corporate digital surfaces. This position combines interface design, brand/visual design, and supportive UX work, with UI as the clear priority.
Job Summary
You will work as an in-house Visual Designer within the Marketing and Design team, supporting an automotive engineering environment, taking ownership of projects from concept to execution. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of creative tasks across existing and upcoming projects, reflecting the dynamic nature of our work – different focus areas may come into play depending on project needs and priorities:
- UI design – main focus
- Design clean, consistent UIs for developer tools and engineering workflows
- Create interfaces for in-car displays and automotive visualization surfaces
- Contribute to internal and public company websites and dashboards
- Deliver component-level UI craft: layouts, states, iconography, interactions
- UX design – supporting focus
- Collaborate with product owners and developers to refine user flows and navigation
- Apply existing UX frameworks and patterns
- Ensure clarity and visual coherence across user journeys
- Visual / Brand design – additional focus
- Produce visuals for digital campaigns, events, print, and presentations
- Support brand consistency across all communication materials
- Contribute to motion and marketing visuals when needed
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a UI or visual designer
- Solid portfolio showcasing UI and visual designer work
- Strong foundation in visual design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, hierarchy, and composition – with the ability to apply these consistently across digital and print media
- Comprehensive skills in designing digital product interfaces, with a solid grasp of design systems and component-based workflows
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro etc.)
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Excellent conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills and detail-oriented, quality-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
- Ability to move comfortably between UI tasks and classic visual design
- Understanding of UX fundamentals, but interest in primarily visual/UI work
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Flexible and collaborative team player
Considered a Plus
- Advanced skills in motion design and video editing – with the ability to adapt to varying project scopes, from simple edits to more complex visual storytelling and animation tasks
- Experience in branding and brand development
- Familiarity with 3D design and animation
- Skills in photography and video production
- Interest in or experience with AI-powered design tools that support visual design workflows
- Openness to or interest in the automotive technology sector and its software tools, engineering-focused environments and workflows
