C++ Developer Intern - Map Integration Team
aiMotive began developing its innovative aiSim in the nascent days of simulation in automated driving. Building this expertise has allowed us to create the first ISO26262 certified tool available to the broader automotive industry. TCL 3 enables aiSim to be an integral part of a development and verification toolchain up to ASIL D, ensuring deterministic, realistic, and repeatable testing.

We are seeking a software engineer to join our Application Development team. The team's responsibilities range from providing robust, extendable APIs for plugin developers to creating an easy-to-use, multipurpose application using the aiSim rendering engine.
Job Summary
- Integration of various mapping standards commonly used in the automotive industry (such as OpenDRIVE, GeoJSON, OpenStreetMap, and HERE Maps) into our existing system
- Getting familiar with and keeping up with standards
- Implementing import and export modules compliant with these standards in C++ and Python 3
- Processing maps and creating 3D maps for simulators, including mesh generation
- Writing unit and regression tests
Key Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of C++
- Knowledge of graphics and mathematics
- Solid Python knowledge (Shapely, Numpy, (BeautifulSoup4, xml.etree, pandas, geopandas))
- Ability to work independently
- Ongoing (active/passive) full-time university studies for at least one more year
- At least 20-25 working hours/week
- Intermediate level English knowledge
Considered as a plus
- Familiarity with 3D software/game engines (e.g., Houdini, Unreal, Unity)
- Knowledge of map formats (e.g., OpenDrive, OpenStreetMap)
- Understanding of map projections
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
- CMake
