Technical Writer Intern
Job summary
- Support the technical documentation team in creating, reviewing, and improving documentation for automotive software systems (e.g. simulation software, data management software).
- Edit and clarify existing technical descriptions, specifications, and instructions to improve accuracy, consistency, and readability.
- Assist in structuring technical content such as user guides, installation instructions, and parameter descriptions.
- Collaborate with engineers and senior technical writers to understand complex technical concepts.
- Gain hands-on experience in professional documentation processes within an automotive software development environment.
Key requirements
- Ongoing (active/passive) full-time university studies for at least one more year (preferably in engineering, computer science, English studies, or a related field)
- Availability of at least 20 working hours per week
- Strong written English skills with attention to grammar, clarity, and logical structure (at least C1 language exam or English BA degree)
- Ability to understand and improve technical texts, even when the subject matter is complex or unfamiliar
- Basic interest in automotive systems, software development, or embedded systems
- Careful, detail-oriented working style and willingness to learn from feedback
