Customer Support Engineer

aiMotive began developing its innovative aiSim in the nascent days of simulation in automated driving. Building this expertise has allowed us to create the first ISO26262 certified tool available to the broader automotive industry. Job Summary

As aiSim’s Customer Support Engineer, you will

  • Provide product and technical support to key customers of aiSim, one of the leading perception simulators for automated driving, developed by aiMotive;
  • Support customers’ deployment and ongoing operation of aiSim; join technical reviews and in-person meetings;
  • Work closely with aiSim engineers at our Headquarters in Europe to troubleshoot customers’ product and integration issues, and address technical questions and requests;
  • Prepare technical content for and conduct product and technical demonstrations & trainings for customers;
  • Understand customer needs and communicate product and technical requirements to aiMotive’s Headquarters;
  • Identify and track key performance metrics to improve customer satisfaction ratings;
  • Advise customers on simulation best practices 
  • Maintain an up-to-date industry knowledge of self-driving technologies, sensors, AI acceleration, and simulators;
  • Test aiSim Release Candidates regularly before official releases;
  • Test new functionalities, document, help improve and maintain the aiSim User Guide.
  • Gain broad, high-level understanding of our data processing pipeline (aiData)
  • Customize and integrate simulation inputs/outputs for different data processing use cases

Key Qualifications

  • University or equivalent degree (Bachelor) 
  • 1+ years of relevant experience 
  • Be familiar with Python and Ubuntu (code reading, debugging)
  • Fluency and proper skills in English to communicate with customers
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build and grow relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams 
  • Experience with multiple operating systems (Windows, Ubuntu)

Considered a plus

  • Ability and willingness to travel abroad
  • Knowledge of automated driving technologies and automotive simulators
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Neural Networks
  • C++, CMake and Bazel knowledge 
  • Unreal and Blender knowledge 
  • RoadRunner, OpenDRIVE and HD map knowledge 
  • Basic understanding of simulation standards (such OSI GT, OpenSCENARIO), HiL and SiL
