Frontend Web Developer Intern - aiSim
aiMotive began developing its innovative aiSim in the nascent days of simulation in automated driving. Building this expertise has allowed us to create the first ISO26262 certified tool available to the broader automotive industry. TCL 3 enables aiSim to be an integral part of a development and verification toolchain up to ASIL D, ensuring deterministic, realistic, and repeatable testing.

We are seeking a frontend web developer to join our aiSim Web Development team. The team’s main responsibility is to develop a feature-rich web application as a greenfield project both for editing simulated maps and scenarios in a 3D world and for configuring, executing and monitoring a large number of simulations.
Job Summary
- Develop and expand our web application using React with Typescript, with 3D features in three.js.
- Write robust, maintainable code.
- Work on our next generation 3D editor application from the architectural planning, through core-feature development, all the way to the UI development
- Collaborate closely with other aiSim software development teams and graphic artists
Key Qualifications
- Ongoing University studies (Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field)
- Availability of at least 20–25 working hours per week
- Experience in frontend development, preferably in React with Typescript
- Knowledge of the underlying concepts of HTML, CSS, Javascript
- 3D experience, preferably in three.js or other WebGL-based technologies
- Knowledge of software design patterns
- Great team player attitude
- Good command of written and spoken English
Considered as a plus
- Docker experience
- Expericence with 3D modelling software (like Maya, 3Ds MAX, Blender) and game engines (Unreal, Unity)
