MLOps Engineer

Our automated driving SW stack aiDrive will be deployed to millions of production vehicles in the upcoming years, thanks to our recently announced OEM partnership. In the course of this development journey, you will be able to impact and witness the creation of state-of-the-art automated driving applications on highways, interurban and urban areas, as well as parking situations, using the latest automotive sensor technologies and advanced machine learning algorithms. All this will be supported by fleet data at scale, paired with our unique data pipeline and infrastructure as provided by aiMotive’s aiData. 

Development of automated driving perception systems requires training and validation of neural networks on large-scale datasets containing millions of recording snippets using petabytes of storage. As an MLOps engineer you will work closely with AI research scientists to help them perform experiments quicker and more efficiently. You will design and maintain systems for the machine learning pipeline from data processing to experimentation, model training, and deployment of models to the vehicles running on multiple continents. 

Job Summary 

  • Automate and deploy the training and evaluation of machine learning models on local workstations, local cluster, or cloud solutions 
  • Monitor and optimize the entire ML development lifecycle (data management, training progress, model version control, etc) 
  • Maintain internal tools that help the development 
  • Cooperation with researcher and developer colleagues 

Key Requirements 

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software engineering, or related field  
  • Strong Python programming and software design skills  
  • Good understanding of networking, storage, and authentication concepts 
  • Experience with building Docker images  
  • Experience with building and maintaining applications and services in Jenkins / Kubernetes  
  • Ability to work independently and systematically 

Considered as a plus 

  • Programming in C++ 
  • Experience in Linux  
  • Experience with public cloud providers (e.g.: AWS, Azure) 
  • Experience in machine learning and data analysis  
  • Experience in deep learning frameworks (Pytorch/Tensorflow) 
  • Experience with data visualization
