Semiconductor IP Functional Safety Engineer

Location: Budapest, Hungary

Job Summary

  • Management and adaptation of functional safety activities for semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP) development according to ISO 26262
  • Development of technical safety concept of semiconductor IP which addresses safety critical applications
  • Definition and derivation of technical safety requirements
  • Planning and carrying out safety analyses on semiconductor hardware elements, including qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Conduct safety analyses on device driver software
  • Technical documentation according to process specifications

Key Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of ISO 26262 and the development of hardware elements
  • Knowledge of digital hardware blocks, their failure modes and related diagnostic mechanisms
  • Knowledge of embedded development environments
  • Ability to perform independent, systematic and process-oriented work
  • Proactive attitude to get things done
  • Experience in automotive industry

Considered as a plus

  • Experience in semiconductor industry
  • Knowledge of hardware description languages (HDL)
  • Embedded software knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge in neural networks is a plus
