AImotive is one of the largest independent teams in the world working on automated driving technologies. Developing self-driving software, proprietary simulation tools and neural network acceleration hardware IP, we are building an ecosystem to aid the deployment of automated driving. To catalyse industry collaboration our products are scalable, modular and hardware agnostic. We build on our team’s expertise in artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, 3D graphics and real-world automated driving workloads, developed utilizing our global test fleet, to support partners in realizing their self-driving goals. Our team currently has over 190 members. The company has offices in Mountain View, California; and Yokohama, Japan. The bulk of our development happens at our headquarters in Budapest where a team of 150 highly skilled engineers spearheads our efforts.

Job Summary

AImotive's strategic goal is to be able to deliver multiple mass production projects in the following years. The ideal candidate will guide us in this process and work closely with the Senior Vice President of aiDrive.

  • As the Technical Program Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the software modules of aiDrive and making suggestions for better results
  • Serve as the member of the Executive Leadership team, report directly to the CEO
  • Collaborate with the aiDrive SVP and the Product managers to enforce and drive efficient software development best practices
  • Provide effective leadership direction and professional expertise in all areas of technology and engineering within product development
  • Responsibility for product development from the early conceptual phase, through research & development, product development, validation, product launch and post-SOP support
  • Propose necessary changes in existing SW modules, identify necessary 3rd party modules, propose modules for subcontracting
  • Identify system (HW + SW) architecture necessary to implement road ready solutions as a SW Tier1
  • Contribute to safety concept of automotive applications
  • Identify gaps in product development process, and propose practical solutions to improve it

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of broad-based automotive technology and engineering experience
  • Experience as the lead system architect (HW + SW) for a L2 (or above) ADAS system
  • Proven track record in bringing projects from the requirements elicitation phase (HW + SW) to road release according to ASPICE
  • Involvement in the safety architecture relevant parts of HARA formulation, Safety Goals definition (preferably including ASIL D), system-level (HW + SW) Functional Safety Concept definition and has undergone an SOP safety audit according to ISO26262
  • Hands-on experience in the definition of system-level road release criteria for L2 (or above) ADAS systems
  • Awareness of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2020/81 and its practical implications for an ALKS system
  • Ability to oversee industry trends and translate it into product strategy
  • Outstanding strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills
