Software Engineer - Data Team

Developing automated driving requires a complete, mature toolchain to collect, generate, use and manage the data needed for a safe and robust solution. aiData is the most advanced, data-driven pipeline for automated driving that reduces the complexity of the processing with high automatization while still ensuring automotive quality.

Job Summary

Our Data Team is responsible for the management of sensor and ground-truth data, including the data-collection, labelling and storage of data and serving it to other teams.

As a Developer in our Data Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing new features in the data infrastructure
  • Creating and maintaining data-related tools and services
  • Creating automated tests to ensure proper operation
  • Handling large volumes of data on a regular basis
  • Participating in designing data pipelines, managing how data is stored, integrated and consumed in the organization
  • Optimizing processes for data throughput and query performance

Key Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of Python (or any other high level languages)
  • Experience in backend development
  • Knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) DB systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in working with large volumes of data
  • Proactivity, professional attitude

Considered as a plus

  • Solid knowledge of any high-level language (C++, Java, C#, etc.) is a great plus
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, bash, git, SQL
  • Familiarity with common architectural patterns (client-server, broker, microservices (RESTful), etc.)
  • Experience in working with build automation systems (e.g. Bazel, CMake, Gradle, etc.)
  • Experience in working with workflow automation systems (e.g. Camunda)
  • Experience in working with distributed storage technologies (object stores, HDFS etc.) and web services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience in working with common data serialization formats (JSON, YAML, etc.)
  • Experience in working with Docker, Kubernetes or other containerization technologies
  • Experience in working with non-relational DB systems (e.g. MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
  • Experience in frontend development
  • Linux experience
