Project Functional Safety Manager

Summary

  • Management and adaptation of functional safety activities for autonomous driving and ADAS projects according to ISO 26262
  • Interfacing with the customers and the suppliers for functional safety
  • Development of technical safety concept of ADAS and autonomous driving systems
  • Specification of technical safety requirements
  • Planning and carrying out safety-oriented analyses, including qualitative and quantitative methods as well
  • Maintaining the safety case
  • Supporting the safety related process improvements
  • Enhancing the safety culture of the organization via internal trainings and leading by example
  • Assuming responsibility for compiling textual work products

Key Qualifications

  • TÜV ISO 26262 Functional Safety Engineer or equivalent certification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in functional safety
  • Work experience in software development or QA
  • Knowledge of state-of-the art safety related standards and guidelines
  • Knowledge of embedded software development environment
  • Independent, systematic and process-oriented work
  • Competence in communications about functional safety
  • High degree of personal integrity and confidence in articulating safety anomalies
  • Proactive attitude to get things done
  • Ability to think outside the box and apply proven methods to novel problems in innovative ways
  • Experience in automotive industry

Considered as a plus

  • Experience in safety management of ADAS/AD items
  • Experience in ADAS function development
  • Experience in automotive system-level development
  • Experience with automotive hardware
  • Experience in process engineering for safety-critical development
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering
  • Knowledge of embedded software programming languages
  • Knowledge of neural networks
  • Knowledge of work-in-progress safety related standards
